Blackberry vinegar and Copella Winter Warmer - a lovely drink any day but perfect for a cold or flu.
Ingredients
- 1lb blackberries
- 1 bottle of Cider vinegar
- granulated sugar
- 1/2 pint of Copella Winter Warmer
Method
1. Place blackberries in a dish and just cover with cider vinegar, cover with cling film and leave for 3-5 days.
2. Strain blackberries and vinegar through a muslin bag and squeeze juice out thoroughly.
3. Measure quantity of juice collected, for every 1/2 pint of juice add 1/2 pound of sugar.
4. Add 1/2 pint of Copella Winter warmer
5. Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes stirring to dissolve the sugar.
6. Once cool pour into a suitable sterilised bottle.
7. To serve half fill a mug or glass and top up with boiling water.
