Infused apple crumble

Beautifully fruity, aromatically supreme, Britishly hearty infused apple crumble

Ingredients

  • 1lb of apples (peeled cored and 1/8ed)
  • 1 1/2oz brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 litre copella winter warmer
  • 6oz plain flour
  • 6oz brown sugar
  • 7oz unsalted butter (cubed)
  • 5 1/2oz Oats

Method

Place apples and Copella winter warmer into a saucepan and over a very low heat simmer for around an 1 hour. Preheat the oven at 180c. Mix the flour, oats and sugar together and adding a few cubes of butter at a time rub in the mixture until it looks like oaty breadcrumbs.
Next, put the apples and a small amount of the winter warmer in an ovenproof crumble dish, sprinkle over the flour and sugar, and mix put try not to break up the fruit. Sprinkle the crumble mixture on the top, place the crumble in the oven for 30-40 mins. Serve with custard, it's super yummy.
