
This year Copella Fruit Juices celebrates its 40th birthday. In 1969 the first drop of Copella apple juice was pressed on Boxford farm by Bill & Devora Peake. 40 years later Copella is still made on the very same site. The celebration was held on the 9th September at The Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa which neighbours Boxford farm and is still owned by the Peake family which made it the perfect location.
The day brought together everyone who helps to make Copella plus we were also joined by three of Devora’s children; Susanna, Jonathan and Carmella (who puts the ‘ella’ into ‘Copella’) and their families.
The afternoon kicked off with the ‘Copella Apple Superstars’ event. The activities included a treasure hunt, mini apple olympics and a generation game style cookery challenge. In the evening the celebration continued with a hog roast, flair bartenders making Copella cocktails, live music and a spectacular firework display. A good day was had by all, everyone at the factory on Boxford farm are very proud of the Copella brand and hope we can continue to make great tasting juice for another 40yrs and beyond.

The winning ‘Copella Apple Superstars’ team was made up of Crispian, Paul, Joao, Martin, Phil & Hugh.
